Susan Abrams

I have always been involved with various forms of art and came to the practice of photography circuitously. Many years ago papermaking became my primary medium of self expression. A gift of a bottle of liquid photo emulsion launched my explorations of photography, printing on my hand made paper.

I left my first career working in counseling elementary age children and their families in order to focus on art. I was a member of Nexus, a cooperative art gallery for several years and showed in exhibitions in many East coast venues. My work is included in several museums as well as corporate and private collections.

I have been a supporter of PWB since the Shutterbug days. I would like to find ways to work directly with the students, perhaps on special projects, helping with exhibitions or accompanying field trips. I can assist in fundraising, planning events and I am happy to host meetings or a small fundraiser.
